Thunderbird…irritations
Ok, I use thunderbird because I prefer it over Outlook express and I refuse to purchase Office for Outlook (and even though on my work machine I have Office 2003 I still don’t use Outlook as I just don’t get on with it).
Having said that though, there are some issues I have with Thunderbird, minor niggles that just seeem simple enough to fix but haven’t popped up in the latest releases yet.
- Emptying the Junkmail Folder
Why isn’t there the ability to just Right Click on the junkmail folder and choose empty all, or delete all or something? It would be SO much easier then having the Select all then delete.
2. Setting accounts up as local folders by default
I hate local folders, I don’t want all of my email to be pooled into one location so please, don’t make this the default. Sure its simple to sort out but WHY have it as the default?
There are about the only real problems so far, there are no doubt other things, but most of those are bugs rather then usability problems. I’ve not submitted a bug report for this as I don’t think my views would be dealt with, or I would be shot down. I might get around to it one day though.
