RE: Living with Windows Vista: the truth

The guy in this article PC Advisor Article is banging on about all the problems he has had when he upgraded his Beta version to the next version (almost RC1) and he moans about issues.

I’m sorry but I would expect problems like this, Windows often has problems when you upgrade, so why would it be any different now?

I would expect him to have had a much better experience if he installed it from scratch. Laziness is his problem.

I think some tech journalists suffer from the same kind of ‘lazy journalism’ syndrome when it comes to writing about Windows Vista. They moan about the delays. They moan about compatibility. They moan about not having the right audio/video drivers. They get all poetic (and usually negative) about Microsoft shipping on-time.

Yawn yawn yawn.

ANYONE who installs a beta or pre-release version of an OS is going to have problems. Complaining about it just smacks of ignorance… or of being someone with FAR too much time on their hands…
