Finally! We have Router Access

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

I just managed to login to my girlfriends router, its the famed Thomson TG585v7 and I tried every username and password combination I could think of, and I didn’t want to reset the router.

So, what was the combination?

After looking on the Tiscali forums I found the solution:

They referenced this:

http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/hardware/t585v7.shtml

That had the key, the serial number off the bottom of the router. I had tried the WPA key but didn’t think to try the serial. Anyway, I am in. W00t!

Take That Concert

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Well, I was at the first Take That concert of their tour at Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester (is it technically Trafford/Salford?)

Anyway, here are some videos from the night, it was a good do really:

Wow, they updated Yum

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Just noticed this, rather then the usual:

Another app is currently holding the yum lock; waiting for it to exit...

when running a yum command whilst updates or whatever are runnin, you now get something like this:

Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Existing lock /var/run/yum.pid: another copy is running as pid 10042.
Another app is currently holding the yum lock; waiting for it to exit...
The other application is: PackageKit
Memory : 91 M RSS (103 MB VSZ)
Started: Thu Jun 18 23:02:16 2009 - 03:18 ago
State : Uninteruptable, pid: 10042

Way cooler, and it cycles through it over and over too. Nice.

The Crunchie is still here…..

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

Well, the Crunchie I listed on Ebay is still here, it’s giving me the eye. I’ve had some interest in it on Ebay, but it appears people are scared of it as much as I am.

Check out the Crunchie here: Crunchie on Ebay
