Samsung Flash Drive

Samsung has announced that it is going to release a 4GB flash drive to go with Windows Vista PCs to speed up the performance of most often used applications.

They report that the flash drive will store these applications allowing them to perform better given the supperior read speed on solid state storage as opposed to common hard drives.

I’m more interested in the hard drive for installing Linux onto it, and funds provided once they come out. As long as they are available to purchase as stand alone units I will get one and report my success or failure here.

Another warm day…

Friday, July 21st, 2006

Well another warm day in Manchester. Its supposed to be around 27 degrees C at the moment but its the humidity more then anything else thats bothering. That and the fact theres no damn breeze!

Planning on being out tonight, so if anyone is on Deansgate at around 8pm you might bump into me.

There are apparantly thunderstorms planned. Who the hell plans these things.
