One of a kind Cadbury Crunchie

This Crunchie appeared to me in my multipack. From the moment I saw it I knew it was special, at first, I thought the red line around it was some tape, but upon closer inspection I saw that this Crunchie has survived the end of the packing roll!!

Is this the strongest Crunchie in existence? Who knows, I wasn’t brave enough to open the Crunchie, so I’ve put it up for auction in the hope of finding someone brave enough to uncover its hidden treasures.

On the package is the code:

“12 2009 L9082 20:20 B”

What Does this mean!? Is it a secret code, is it just the sell by date and the consignment number? I’m not sure, but I don’t think its any coincidence that this was made at 20:20!! Significant I do believe!

I can’t promise that this Crunchie will bring you wealth, I can’t promise that this Crunchie will bring you happiness, I can’t promise that this Crunchie will still taste as good past December, but what I can promise you is that this Crunchie is special. How special? Only time may tell.

I am open to any questions you may have about this item but I am just the protector, I do not have all the answers.

Ubuntu CD’s have arrived

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

I ordered 20 Ubuntu 9.04 CD’s so that I could hand them around to whoever and on Monday of this week, they arrived.

Got a set of stickers too which I think is normal for what they send out. Funky design for the CD’s though, better then past designs.

Props to Star Trek

Monday, May 11th, 2009

I watched the new Star Trek movie on Sunday, great film but there was one thing that bugged me about the props (I mean, come on you’ve got plenty of money to put some effort in guys)…

Here is a picture from the Bridge (click for a larger image):

and here is what I identified as being a blatant prop up front (click for larger image):

They seem to have just sprayed them white, not much else has been done. Are they there for some last minute checkout action?

So, when you’re in the galaxy and you hear the beep, think of the fun you could be having on the USS Enterprise… Hmm, doesn’t really have the same ring to it.

ByteMarked

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

There was a pretty major outage on the internet today. The hosting company that was, hmm, at fault isn’t the right word, on the receiving end, was ByteMark, York based Internet Services provider.

The outage lasted a few hours, which in internet time is quite a long time, so I can only guess to what extents the problems were.

Congrat’s for Bytemark getting it back together on the same day, if only other companies could do the same in a situation like that.
